This is my secondary research picture from Google Maps about my hometown and the area I live in.
Kenton is a quiet, multicultural suburb which is in the North-east of Harrow. Kenton is a district in North-West London and is historically in Middlesex. The neightbouring surrounding are Harrow, Wembley and Kingsbury. Kenton Road is the main road as this road Links Harrow to the major Edgware Road. Kenton Road has two boundaries between the London Borough of Harrow and Brent on one side it is the borough of Brent and the other side it is Harrow.
Near where I live there are two parks one is near a school and the other one is not far from me. I have lived in Kenton all my life, there are not many shops on Kenton Road, mainly, bathroom showrooms, Furniture and carpet shops and some local independent retailers who have most things that you will find in the supermarket. There are many beauty and hairdressers and options also Polish and Romanian shops. The colour of the shops on Kenton Road do have some colours but I would change it so that all the buildings have a different colour, for example, one can be yellow, Red, pink or blue and so on.
My hometown is something nice and active and it is a place for families it has different cultures.
I feel my hometown is a calm mixture of safeness, activity, and also nice. There are many connections for transport, for example, you have buses and trains to take you into the town of Harrow of the neighbouring boroughs which are wealdstone, north harrow, pinner ,kingsbury with a good connection into central London.The transport service it very good taking you to various destinations within the borough of Harrow.

what is harrow's current transport
There are different types of buses that can takes you anywhere. One can go from Wealdstone to pinner on various bus routes and also the train from Harrow-on the hill which is both a bus station and tube station from wealdstone you have the overground taking you further a field same as Kenton overground. Kenton has the best from of transport, but the changes to be made would be to have more electric trains, cars and buses although some buses are electric green.

"Domine Dirige Nos" which is the Latin slogan that means as lord direct (guide) us
it appears to have been adopted in the 17th century.

my home town characteristics are: Active, Loyal and Helpful. So, I decided to choose Orange, Yellow and blue as my main hometown colours.

I searched for 3 different images of my hometown logo which I found on Google. I then choose I found all 3 on Google and I then choose only 3 out of many. I decided on the handwriting pattern of my hometown Kenton which I translated the outline in black ink and colored it with colored pens this was the first one. The second image of my hometown logo was like M&M the chocolate sweets, I thought this was really good as it very colourful. The third image of my hometown logo was bold capital letters in two tones of colors. The image I picked was the first one and added flower to make it more colourful and not dull and grey.

This is my logo that I made for my hometown and I decided to draw a big tree with the Kenton logo and a map at the bottom of the trunk, I wanted it to be earth-friendly, with birds and
flowers, in the garden, in the forest and all around the world, and also I want my hometown which is Kenton to be enjoyable and unique, as I wanted everyone to enjoy my hometown which is Kenton, a town full of nature.
I selected the first one because it not dull, it is floral and it has some movements in it which makes me feel happy.

to make the bus route shorter I splitted it to train routes. In this way the buses cover more places and would be in bus station in shorter time.

This is my sketch of the Electric transport that I would like in my hometown of Harrow, I chose a car, bus, and bike, but I have more in my mind map below.
This is the mind map for all the electric transport that I did on canvas so that we can change the environment to clean and safe in my home town.
For this new electric transportation, we need some charging stations.

The new colour scheme i would like for my town are pink,yellow,red and blue each shop will be alternating in these different colours.

The above is my slogan for harrow I done this at home on canvas by looking at different templates and then I chose a heart as I felt that harrow is one big happy place, as it is home to many different people from different backgrounds as you can see on my mood board.There is a diverse culture and it is a happy and safe place.I chose the colours as I wanted the same theme thought out.
I can see that there is happiness, safety, diversity, children, and culture.The options for my new slogans are:

I love " Love being different in Kenton" because it shows the reality of my hometown better.

final design for transportation
Transport: - I chose my transport to be all electric as I
wanted the environment to be a safe place for all that live in Harrow, it is
also a great way to step in the Future for generations
to come. also, I prefer all the electric bus and transportation but in the same size and shape so that people would not get confused about their functionality.The colours i choose are yellow blue and red bus because it looks colourful and more aligned with my color scheme and it show the personality of my hometown.
It is a charging station for buses and cars it has several plugs so that several cars and buses can be charged at the same time.
For my new transportation I need some stations for electric bikes as well this is my final design for this stations. The bikes can be locked in the private place in these staions.
Slogan: - I chose
this slogan as I really think that Harrow is a happy, safe place to live with a
lot of respect for the young and old, as I didn't have time in college I did
it at home on canvas.
In my opinion, my new slogan design is vibrant
and colourful rather than just the local one already which is London Borough of
Harrow. I wanted a new image for Harrow, Kenton as I think it would give a
mediterranean and European look rather than an English town, as it has a lot of
diverse people with different culture so I thought it would be like the place
where they came from, I made it at home on canvas. It was very interesting to
find out about my hometown, from taking different pictures, to making it a town
that I wanted it to be in the future, I used photoshop and adobe illustrator to
create many of my images, from colour to typography. The transport I wanted it
to be disabled friendly as this would be vitalpart in changing the town's
transport. I think choosing the colour was good as this will make Kenton a
fantastic place to live for everyone.
colour scheme: I choose these colour which are pink and blue, yellow red and orange to change colour of my hometown because my area looks boring and to look more interesting because they are more harmonious with each other and make the area happier and more interesting and align with my home town personality.Also it brings some Mediterranean atmosphere to my hometown.

I chose this logo because it is so bright and colourful. and the shapes that i chose a flower shape because I like the design of the logo because it has personality and different cultures and is harmonious with each other, and it look stand-out.
In my opinion, the part that didn't go well for
me was that I didn't have time to finish my slogan in Photoshop, so I made one
on canvas at home. The survey was another letdown for me, as I should have
asked more people to fill it out for me. If I were to do the whole work
experience again, I think I could make a plan and make sure that I had enough
time to gather relevant information that was essential to the task that was
assigned.

options on new design
Following you can see people's opinions about my logo. Most of them have positive opinions about it.
Most people think that the current colour scheme of my hometown is poor. Most people think that I have improved the colour scheme. Most people think that my slogan is in the middle. Most people use buses and cars for their daily transportation and they use buses every day but they use trains only monthly.
People have responded about how to improve the area's transportation as follows:
My logo of my colour scheme is good and most of people like it. My opinion about logo is very creative and I like the design. Some people think that colour is too bright and also I should change the colour.
My opinion on colour scheme is positive and most of people think I have improved the current one. I think this colour scheme is happy, active and interesting. I should have more contrast or be more harmonical together.
Most people have used cars and bus more then other transportions or I should have focused more on cars and buses.
I should have designed some electric car parking in a proper place in my hometown which is near to the center of town and shopping centres.
If I want it to do again then I would change the colour because the colour are bright and it would bother people's eyes.
If I want to do it again then maybe I would change my slogan and design it again in photoshop.
If I want to do it again then maybe I would change the transportation and change every transport to something totally different.
